Contemporary Fluted Sideboard Bright Entryway Foyer

Strong daylight in a front hall tends to flatten whatever sits there. The Contemporary Fluted Sideboard Bright Entryway Foyer plays with that light instead, its channeled front throwing fine lines of shadow that keep it lively even at noon.

Living With It

Closed compartments hide the things you would rather not see from the doorway, and the broad top happily holds a lamp and a catchall tray, with a mirror hung above. Try it on the wall facing the entrance, where the light falls on the front head-on and brings out every groove.

Highlights

• Textured facade: a shaped front that creates depth and shadow
• Mixed storage: the layout may combine doors, drawers and open shelves
• Sturdy build: wood blocks joined together
• Natural finish: lightly refined to show grain, tonal variation and small markings

Other Rooms, Too

It also makes sense as a living room sideboard, a dining cabinet for dishes and serving ware, a low media stand, a bedroom console or a place to display books and keepsakes.

Each sideboard is handcrafted to order from natural wood, so grain, color and markings vary. Expect your piece to differ slightly from the images and to carry a character all its own.
